This past year has been a banner one for Ryft. We launched the Ryft ONE to an amazing reception from customers, influencers and more. Which is why we couldn’t be more excited to be honored with an R&D 100 Award for the Ryft ONE data analytics engine!

The R&D 100 Awards honor the very best in technological innovations, and over the course of the 53-year history, breakthroughs such as the fax machine (1975), halogen lamps (1974) and the HDTV (1998) have been named winners. One common theme is that winners are technologies that are set to make a massive change in the status quo. The big data technology market is ripe for that kind of shift, and 2015 was the year of the Ryft ONE.

The bottlenecks associated by big data analytics infrastructures have stymied enterprises for years, and the panel of independent judges was impressed with the innovative heterogeneous computing architecture of the Ryft ONE. This FPGA-accelerated backend provides organizations with over 100X the performance of today’s traditional infrastructures while an x86-based Linux frontend abstracts away complexity and makes the Ryft ONE simple to use via any high-level programming language.

Thanks again to the R&D 100 Awards organization for the recognition. And a special thank you and congratulations to the Ryft team for the hard work and dedication that went in to developing the Ryft ONE!
