FUZZY SEARCH BENCHMARKS

How much faster is the Ryft ONE for something as complex as fuzzy search? To measure the difference, we compared published third-party performance data on conventional tools with our own performance tests. We tested a search for a commonly misspelled word with a fuzzy edit distance of four on in an unindexed Wikipedia file. While conventional tools required up to six hours, the same search using a single Ryft ONE with a search distance of four provided results in just six seconds. The test showed significant infrastructure savings as well. To run this same fuzzy search, it would take more than 3,000 commodity high-speed servers to match the performance of a single Ryft ONE.
